🌍💧 Savanna Dry Goods: Blending Sustainability and Style for a Water-Resilient Future đź’§đźŚŤ

I am thrilled to share with you an extraordinary collaboration that embraces sustainability, fashion, and the urgent need to address climate change. Savanna Cider, one of Metalabs Africa’s esteemed clients, has joined forces with visionary South African fashion designer, Wanda Lephoto, to create Savanna Dry Goods, a truly unique collection that symbolizes our world submerged under water due to man-made climate change.

The concept behind Savanna Dry Goods goes beyond fashion; it is a powerful statement about our responsibility to protect our planet. Each piece in this remarkable collection is sustainably produced and, most impressively, 100% waterproof. It only makes sense that the ultimate dry cider would inspire a range that keeps you dry, even in a world dripping wet.

What was even more inspiring was that all the proceeds from this campaign went to GreenUp, a remarkable Khayelitsha-based community action and climate change organization. By supporting Savanna Dry Goods, collectors played a vital role in promoting sustainable fashion while making a positive impact on environmental resilience in our communities.

But Savanna Cider and Wanda Lephoto didn’t stop there. They have pushed the boundaries of creativity and sustainability by expanding their collaboration into the metaverse. They commissioned Wanda Lephoto to create a collection of 1-of-1 original garments, which were then meticulously transformed into stunning digital collectibles through 3D modelling and rendering techniques. These digital garments are exclusively available on Nifty Gateway as NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens), adding a whole new dimension to the Savanna Dry Goods experience.

To further emphasize our commitment to sustainability, we have embarked on an unprecedented venture. In partnership with Savanna Cider and Wanda Lephoto, Metalabs Africa has created the world’s first recycled digital collectible—an extraordinary digital avatar crafted from the data of burnt NFTs. Through this groundbreaking innovation, we are demonstrating that sustainable practices can extend to the digital realm, effectively merging technology and environmental consciousness.

As part of this remarkable campaign, Metalabs Africa created an awe-inspiring anamorphic 4D billboard. Showcased at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, this larger-than-life video installation captivated viewers, drawing them into a world where fashion, sustainability, and the fight against climate change converge. It serves as a powerful reminder that we have the capacity to make a positive impact, even in the face of daunting challenges.

Savanna Dry Goods is a testament to the potential of collaboration, innovation, and conscious consumerism. Together, we can make a difference and shape a future where sustainability and style coexist harmoniously.
